Christoph Leser, Ph.D., Leser Liaise Consulting, LLC
Christoph is an adjunct instructor at Virginia Tech and a dedicated voluneteer for global student exchange initiatives. Over a 30-year career in materials, aerospace, and automotive engineering, he held leadership roles in product management, business development, and R&D — frequently leading international teams on multimillion-dollar software and hardware projects. His industry experience includes serving as a durability test engineer for Mercedes-Benz’s medium-duty truck division in Germany and spending 27 years at MTS Systems in Minnesota in product management and sales.
Christoph holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, an M.A. in Economics, a M.S., and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech. An accomplished author, his publications span multi-physics modeling, physical and virtual testing, automotive electric drive applications, road load simulation, neural network modeling, and software tools to enhance student learning.
