Christoph brings 34 years of experience in materials, aerospace, and automotive testing, analysis, and simulation, having held various positions in product management, business development, and project management. He has successfully led international teams on multimillion-dollar software and hardware development initiatives. He previously served as a durability test engineer at Mercedes Benz's medium duty truck division in Germany and spent 27 years at MTS Systems in Minnesota, focusing on marketing and sales roles. Prior to this, Christoph earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University in Braunschweig, Germany and then went on to Virginia Tech to earn a Master of Arts in Economics and a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics. His extensive publication record covers topics such as multi-physics modeling, physical and virtual testing, automotive electric drive applications, road load data simulation, neural network modeling of automotive components, and software tools to enhance student learning.
